PPPoE & Subscriber Billing
Fixed-line subscribers, authentication, and recurring billing.
PPPoE profiles
A PPPoE profile defines a fixed-line plan (bandwidth, data allowance if any, and price), the same way a hotspot package does for Wi-Fi customers. Subscribers are billed against the profile they're on, usually on a recurring monthly cycle.
Authentication
Subscribers authenticate straight against RADIUS. PAP, CHAP, and MS-CHAPv2 are all supported, so whatever dialer or router a subscriber is using, including Windows' built-in dial-up client, just connects, without needing a specific auth method configured on their end.
Billing and invoices
Invoices include an itemized Ghana tax breakdown, and subscribers get a usage alert before they're close to running out on a capped plan, rather than finding out when they're already cut off.
Fair usage
Like hotspot vouchers, a subscriber who exceeds a data cap on a throttled plan gets slowed down rather than disconnected outright.
